New MC Cue

I understnd the no wait thing as I'm impatient as hell, If you purchase a cue he is working on to sell, not a custom order I would think a few months, this was a custom order and I never rushed Mike at all, It took 1 year from design to delivery, in cue builder time that was very good in my opion, I don't know his order time at this moment and can't speak for Mike either.....

Phil hit with mine last June!

Phil ordered his cue two days later. He saw me on a Saturday. So the next Monday he called Mike. Mike finished Phil's cue and told me he wanted to add a little something to it and did some personal touches to the cue at no extra charge. He said the cue looked like it needed something so he just suprised Phil with that monster.
You people really can't understand when Mike builds a cue he puts his heart into it. If he is not happy with the cue even though it is what you want he will go out of his way to make something you will charish.
I can PM you Mike's # but call Timi Scruggs Custom cues early in the day and good chance you just may catch Michael!
Good luck Dave
Nick:)

Hey Nick.. how can you tell if its the old joint or the new one?

Mike Cochran Cues

I would like to add to this thread some of my thoughts and observations. Being in a unique position as Cue Dealer, and friend of both Mike Cochran and Tim Scruggs.

Mike has for over 24 years worked along side of Tim, handcrafting cues of the highest quality in construction. Playability is always the first word that they each express when describing one of their cues.

I have breakfast with Mike almost every Saturday, and over many conversations,he expressed his desire to extend his own thoughts into building cues that are a little different in detail to that of the normal Scruggs Triditional design, but mantaining the internal construction integerty.

As mentioned, he only has time to make a few of these cues, both Tim and Mike are always busy tending to the needs of their Scruggs custom cue customers.

Look for more unique cues from Mike, he has a few beauties he's working on now.

About the joints

The new joints and the old joints play great either is super. I happen to like the new joint. I also like the old joints and have piloted steel and flat faced radial and 3/8-10 pin cues all of Timi's and Mikes including sneakies. I just like this new joint better.
It just depends on how soft a hit you like or how hard.
There are so few joints like this out there when you see one you will know it.
Or just have Mike make you one!
Back to Phil's cue.
Sweeeeeeeeeeet!
Nick :)
