I need to replace a motor, it's making some funny sounds and is starting to smell a little funny too. The brushes are fine so I think it's just tired.
I need variable speed, 1/2 hp would do it but 3/4 is ok too.
I'd probably just buy a pennstate, I have one, it's fine, but they are out of stock.
I've seen a lot of talk about the consew motors. There seem to be quite a few models. Anyone have any recommendation on a model they like. It's for a repair lathe, not doing coring or anything like that. I'm okay with a lever for variable speed but a rotary dial is fine too as long as it can be located on the side towards the operator when it's set up with the pulley to the right.
Thanks
