This is too funny......

as to the l&l v scott .................. I'm waiting.......

Chris "NITRO" Gentile has been in action virtually every night this week, winning and losing close matches. The guy doesn't mind giving up a fair spot.

Some of the locals are fighting hard to get some of their bread back from The Freezer and Nitro.

The first week or so, The Freezer was getting all of the action, now it looks like both are getting in the grease with increased frequency.

I know I am losing sleep because of these two, Warren Kiamco and Ronnie Wiseman and might even be losing a little weight. It's hard sweating some of the best pool action in the country, play a match here & there yourself and hold down a full-time job but I'm going to keep trying.:grin-square:

...and Joey "The Bishop" Aguzin keeps on trying, in spite of the huge airball he threw up on this whole nickname business.

"I know, let's just ignore the huge faux pas, and keep on the same path, in the hopes that if I beat it down, it will finally stick -- which was my purpose in the first place!"

Hear no evil, see no evil.

i can believe that nameless guy actually got a following. That's the most unbelievable part.

He's not nameless. He's got a new nickname now. ;)

Sean, you need to follow the threads more carefully, you're getting your wires crossed again.

U R 2 FUNNY! I would hire you to help me with my marketing, but you can't keep up with the story line. (Get a hold of yourself.) :killingme: Just teasing you, pal.

I won't be pulling your chain anymore in this thead as I know you sometimes say things you don't mean and then want to apologize at a later date when you calm down. Catch up with you in another thread, another time.

Nah, I think I'm following along quite well -- I tried to "innocently" fit that onto you, even though Eric was obviously talking about FL. You just don't like the message, so you engage your marketing skills to try to redirect it. ;)

Actually, I was kidding with you, too, in a very pointed way (and there's a message in there I'm trying to reinforce to you, but you obviously don't want to hear it, and want to foist "your idea" onto the forum). Should've peppered some smilies in there so you knew, but alas, I had to get back to what I was doing.

BTW, I do mean what I say, even if couched in pointed humor. It's rare that I have to retract something, and I certainly don't retract anything in this thread.

Nice try, though, Bishop. ;)

People love to hate on marketing people. Fact is, without great marketing people the world would come to a boring screeching halt. (way more than it already is).

Everyone would just be named John and Mike instead of Asian John and Biloxi Mike (R.I.P). Car seats would simply be cowhide instead of "rich Corinthian leather", there would be no movie trailers, just lack luster opening days.

I salute guys like Joey with a tie. He's a marketing guy's marketing guy. He's also an all around great guy, unless you meet up with him in a pool match, then he's going for blood. :D

Nice one Bigtruck! Joey A is a great guy and a fierce player. Nicknames either catch on or they don't... at least you can try. Nitro is a good player's nickname.

Agree with you both.

And the post below yours Eric, says maybe I'll tell you in the future, and maybe not.

I'll second this.

In plain Inglese, we have enough goofy nicknames. I think I'll stick with "Chris".

Eric >wishes there were more cool nicknames

Thanks for the thumbs-up Max! See you in Mobile, AL this weekend.

NITRO will be there.

I like Nitro for Chris Gentile. Great nickname, we will know it is accepted when someone says "Hey Nitro" and Chris turns his head. I bet he answers to it now when Joey A is around him.

I might test him out this weekend with a stranger giving him the hail, "Hey Nitro".:wave:
