New pechauer cue

I had it custom made, but they consider it a pro version.

I didn't know you could do that. What specs can you customize? Will they build me a cue with a butt diameter of 1.30 inches and 20oz overall weight? Will they build a 60" cue? How much extra for customization? What's the diameter at the very end of the butt on your cue?

I don't think some of those 20k+ cues ever get played with. Just rich collectors adding eye candy to their collection. Just my opinion though.
Both is the real answer

Some get played with a lot, some I’ve never screwed together.

That’s the case with most big collections. Some are just as you said “eye candy” or brand new and the owner wants to keep a particular cue brand new. Others are played with some & a few are played with daily.

When you have a big collection 20+ or even mid size say 12-20 cues. That’s pretty normal. Some get used some never.

There’s nothing wrong with keeping a cue brand new. Sometimes. Not always.

What? You were beaten by a woman? ;) Congrats and enjoy your new cue...
Lots of times!

I love playing women that are serious about pool. They play hard and serious, all business. And I really respect that and I play back hard as I can. No flirting-just pure pool.

The other thing I’ve noticed playing top female players is they don’t complain like the men do. When I’ve played over my head and won-they respect that. If they get bad rolls they don’t whine like the men do.

A serious woman is a pleasure to play. I’m not interested in flirting or social pool.

I noticed this many many years ago, I’d been playing 2-3 years before I could play a little and played a solid female player. I got beat bad, but I learned that playing women for me is always a great game. It has a level of intensity of gambling without gambling. I can’t find that playing men. I have to gamble with men to play or I get board real fast.

It’s a completely different experience for me-and I like that.

No shame in getting beat when you get out played. And when I out play anyone-it’s a good day.

I am honored that so many of you like my cue. I have made some changes. I put on a ki-tech medium tip. I got pechauers 8" cue extender kit which replaces the rubber cap with another one that has threads which the extension screws into, and I added a piece of the Tiger brand silicone wrap to the bottom, essentially extending the grip area to give it better grip for long reaches. Pictured as it sits now...

the vast majority of us were obliterated by her. lol. heres a long video of her playing all of the challenge matches at a nearby pool hall to the one I met her at. She was on a connecticut tour, going pool hall to pool hall for a week.

you absolutely can. Call Scott at pechauer. Im willing to bet they can do all of that for you. I dont know the diameter of the end of the butt on mine, it is just whatever the standard is. They built allison fishers, and hers is very custom. I believe hers is 54" long, and has the grip wrap going all the way to the butt cap, so custom is no problem for them.

Hello. First time poster. I just got a brand new custom made pechauer cue. It took almost two months to get, but the wait is over. I have been playing with the same mcdermott cue since i was 16, and now 16 years later it is time for something new. I have nothing bad to say about the mcdermott. I was a solid league player, and won several local tourneys with it. It was just tired, dinged up, and i was bored of it. Im going to really try to take care of this one and keep it nice. This is my first time using a carbon fiber shaft. I was worried about having a hard time making the change, but it was honestly seamless. One thing i noticed is that it is much easier to draw the cueball now. Maybe it's the tip, maybe the shaft. I haven't had much playtime with this cue yet, but i am happy with it so far. That's my idea of a great looking cue. Just fantastic!

Don't use their "contact us" feature. I asked about a custom cue from them 6 months ago with zero response.
scott@pechauer.com, or give them a call. They do answer the phone every time. I think they are quite busy, while being pretty small, staff wise. A custom cue from them takes about 6-7 weeks to make, and they told me they try to ship out 40 cues per day.

Well, you gotta do what you gotta do, but it's a shame you had to cover up that beautiful wood on the butt.

its easily removable if i ever choose. i kind of like the black on red look as well. Also, that bottom part is where all the dings are on my old cue, so this will protect it.
