New Pool Room

Well here goes...
I have been in or around the pool business for over 30 years in all aspects of the Game. I have run many rooms from Seattle to Vegas, ran my own billiard supply, run tourneys , etc. so I am very familiar with the industry.

I purchased the equipment from the "Cuetopia " in Las Vegas about two years ago. Moved it to the pacific NW.
I began to open a room in Longview WA (about 40 miles north of Portland) and ran into MAJOR problems > AFTER > I paid deposits to the landlord.
All of a sudden > there was /no heat ( he promised to have it installed immediately .. heat pumps ...it took 5 weeks) / no phone hookups / no signage / he put in new plumbing which overflowed before we even had a chance to open / the power circuits would not handle more than 3 arcade machines per outlet .. only three total circuits in building / parking was next to a bingo parlor and they used spaces in front of my location / He made no attempt to make any adjustments in the rent such as delaying the monthly rent payments or other changes / THIS is just the highlights!!
*note* My attorney needed much $$ to pursue the problems.

I now have the equipment (and I added more to the list) still in storage and I still would like to open up somewhere ?!
I have depleted my basic $$$ and am trying to obtain a business loan to try again. My equipment is valued about $70 k and the bank still is hesitating about ANY loan! This SW Washington area is, I believe a good spot, ANYONE interested in making a suggestion of how to continue?

It is not in my nature to simply give up but it has been frustrating the last few months.
I would actually consider a partnership in this area (OR) to MOVE the equipment to a new location. Really!!

Or maybe I should just open a small billiard supply and sell Product.

All suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks.

I have been working on my place for 10 month's It took 8 month's just to get the permit's to do the build out.. Now I am waiting on the fire inspector's to come and inspect the place..It has been a long and stressfull road..

Welcome to Longview, WA. Now you know why no one else has done anything there in the past...but yes, it is a good area...if you can pull it off. How many tables were you thinking about setting up? What about alcohol and pull tabs?
