New Pred 314 and Z Shaft Coming Out?

So...anyone else thinking that a new 314 and Z shaft is coming out soon? I know the Vantage just came out but is that really a replacement for both a 12.75mm and 11.75mm shafts?

All around the internet (specifically seyberts who is pretty much the primary internet dealer for pred) has all the 314-2 and Z2 shafts for a discounted price. I know when OB came out with the + shafts they had the original OB shafts for around 30% less. Just curious if anyone has any info or has heard anything. I mean it would make sense if they incorporated the new vantage tech into a new 314-3 or Z3. Also, I suppose the product life cycle might be up? I believe they came out with the second gens in 2006, so it makes sense? Why not keep advancing unless it really is hard to make improvements on the 314-2 and Z2, right?
 
I was thinking the same. The Vantage is 12.9 mm, and every predator user is either at 12.75 or 11.75 for the past 20 years now. They made the players want that size, why go up to almost 13 again? I also saw the discounts on the 314-2 and z-2. I think it makes sense they will come out with a 314-3 and z-3 soon.

Just a guess, no inside information at all.
 
I can confirm they are coming out with new generation shafts.

I know this because I purchased a 314 2 earlier today after swearing off Predator forever. They will release the next generation shortly after I receive and play with the new shaft thus eliminating the possibility of return.

The next generation will be fantastic. The ultimate in feel and playability. Not only will the Squirt / deflection be lowered 50% frow gen 2, it will miraculously eliminate swerve as well. My "new" 314 2 will be worthless on the secondary market



****Anyone want to buy a brand new 30" 314 2? I can ship as soon as I receive it!
 
You would think the vantage is a replacement for the fat, which bombed.

Either that or they have a LOT of confidence in the vantage.
 
Mezz, OB and many others like Pechauer, Katana etc. have released new shafts in 2014, so it`s only to be expected that Predator follows suit.
 
I am playing with the Vantage shaft and I love it so far. It is a very solid shaft with very low deflection. The larger size does not bother me because the taper is very long.
 
Warranty....

Is OB the only shaft maker that is covering warpage on a shaft? I know I have inquired about this with Mezz and Predator in the past and they basically said "oh well". Gotta say I really like the idea that OB offers this. Doesn't help the 18 Predator shafts that I have packed away...

I am wondering if you can back up this claim as well? Where did you hear this?
 
Got back from my local pool store who are authorized sellers for predator. They confirmed and told me that the 3rd generation 314 and Z shafts will be released sometime in March or possibly earlier as stated earlier in the thread. So the 314-3 and Z-3 are on the way. :smile:
