New Product (Slip Stic)

I never thought about WD 40, mainly because it's not a wood care product, next is it works like a magnet for dust and dirt. I am glad that it works for you but you can't honestly say it's good for your shaft. Only that it gives you a smooth stroke.
I have a cuetec for when I know the pool is only going to be social and a good bit of beer will be involved. I got it second hand, when it arrived the shaft was a bit tacky. I used WD-40 to cut the gunk. It worked out pretty well. I would never try it on a conventional shaft though.

I have been using the Slip stic on the cuetecs that come to the shop. The people seem happy so far but I'm still waiting to hear about the longevity of it versus the fiberglass.

It never dawned on me, to waste a precious drop of SlipStic, on my Cuetec. It is good to know, that it works well on them though. It is now on my Romero, Mcdermott and Sledgehammer. So far it is working on them, beyond my expectations.

I agree with you. The thing thats surprising me the most is that its lasting so long. I finally had to re-apply it to my playing shaft, which I did when the sample came in. That was what almost 2 months ago?

Since I received my sample bottle of Slip Stic from Pete a couple of weeks ago, I am very happy with the out come.
I cleaned my shaft just as I normally would a customers shaft, then instead of applying the cue wax, I applied a few drops of the Slip Stic. Well, it's been 2 weeks now, the cue gets an average of 1 hour non-stop play per day. The shaft is still as smooth as it was the day I applied it. After each use I use my Zim's Rack hand towel to wipe it clean from chalk dust and it feels and looks fantastic.

I can't wait to get my shipment in from Pete!

Thanks again Mike Webb for the recommendation and assistance,
Zim

FYI We have been receiving the SlipStic Stabilizer - Cleaner. It's now in stock, Mike Web has a bunch on its way to him. He can also supply you with it. It works great as it takes the shaft only to the point of how you received it from your cuesmith. It removes wax (real cultrate for chalk sticking to the shaft), oils, dirt and greases. You do not need to rinse it at all after using. In case if you are wondering this is a special product formulated for us by Exxon. It does not get deep in the wood so there is no need to worry. No residue at all - just clean. You will have to re-apply SlipStic Conditioner afterwards as it also removes it.
