New racking system

The templet rack that I was shown was made from the type of plastic used for negative film. After each break the balls scattered but never stayed on the rack. The nine sat in the center of the rack most of the time, but that never impeded on getting the template off of the table. It was so easy to use and cut the time spent racking in half. Plus I made 2 balls every time breaking at about half speed.

I don't disagree with you, but what is the alternative? A rack of random looseness? A rack manipulated by the breaker or his opponent?

The break at nine ball is broken.

Maybe we broke it when we tried to fix it. Seems to me Sardo and templates are a step backwards from hand-racking for producing the unpredictable break we really want.
