This person has been selling "new" Revo shafts for as low as 300$, starting price usually 370-375$, and this has been going on since March 2021.

He has 55 positive reviews and satisfied customers, as you can see in the link below.

I asked him if he is an authorized dealer, he said that he isn't, he said that he "just gets his hands on some". I asked how is this price possible, he says they are "seconds". I asked authorized dealers and Predator directly about this, they claim that they don't have and don't sell seconds.

So are these fake Revo shafts?
How come no one of these at least 55 customers checked that and found out if it is a fake?
What do you think?

IDK, but the pictures look like genuine Revos. Since they are being sold as New (other) I would assume they are lightly used, which could be fine. I do wonder how someone comes across 50+ Revos to flip in 8 months, though. Seems like a lot. If Predator says they don't sell seconds, I would believe them. I used to work in a factory where it was my job to destroy things that didn't pass quality control so people wouldn't take them out of our dumpsters.

Predator and most manufacturers hold dealers to Minimum Advertised Pricing MAP, which is 15% under MSRP for Predator. It's all about price control and getting people to pay top dollar for everything.

He must know a dealer, gets product at his cost and sells them cheap.

I asked if the shaft has any imperfections, he said if it did that it would be noted on the sale description, which it wasn't, it wrote that the shaft is new but not in original packaging.

Maybe they are the ones that didn't pass the quality control and he "gets his hands on them" and sells them as seconds when Predator believes they are destroyed, but people should know that, I really wonder how none of the mentioned over 50 people reached out to Predator to check the serial number.

Do you think that dealers get the shafts for less than 300$?

One would think that these over 50 satisfied customers would notice that :)

I have a cheapo generic CF shaft (no logo and turned from a standard CF blank and the filled with foam) that plays great and as well as a Revo as far as I can tell. The same is probably true for people who buy the Preoair knockoffs.

Edit:. The lack of official Predator packaging supports this theroy. If this was a dealer MAP pricing violation, he would have the boxes.

I also have a CF shaft someone made for me from a blank. I'm very happy w/ it. I also have a Revo which I bought used for $300. I do prefer the Revo, but I would put the no-name on par w/ a Cynergy.

I was talking to guy few months ago that had a new Revo. He paid $325 from a local guy here in Ohio who sells factory seconds. It made sense and I didn't question it, til now LoL

They get them for 60-65%of MSRP from Predator.

If you sell cues from McDermott you get them for 45-50% of MSRP and can advertise as low at 75% MSRP. They don't want all the dealers undercutting each other, it will devalue their products.

Here is a 12.4 radial new for 315$, maybe he'd take even less for it ;)

What happens when he sells hundreds of these shafts and people start selling them as used for more than they paid to him for new, and then it happens that they are fake or have a defect, which is most probable?!

According to the Predator dealer that I know, there are no seconds. Rejects don't leave the factory. Revos aren't just straight tubes, the thickness changes along the entire length, as this is how they design and dial in LD.

If I was your predator buddy I'd be screaming at HQ to have there lawyers or police finding out how these are leaving the factory or are they counterfeit and put a stop to it! On a grand scale this guy probably isn't selling enough to hurt but it sure isn't helping

REVOs are sourced in the United States. Again, I doubt they're leaving the factory as seconds or dumpster rejects. If there is an issue, CEO of Predator will have a chat to sort it out. At shows and tournaments, the people I met from Predator are smart, friendly, and aren't the type with short fuses. I can't picture any of them screaming.

Aren't REVOs serial numbered? Simple enough to batch trace it back to the dealer? If they're counterfeit, then the customers won't be able to get any support from Predator.

In the end, the public gets hurt by intentionally misleading copies and counterfeits. The quality, support and re-sale value isn't there. One guy attended a tournament with Predator Arena Lights, and immediately noticed the difference with his own eyes. His copy didn't output anywhere near the lumens listed for the real lights. It was like someone who was content playing barbox thinking that was real pool, and now facing a 9 footer for the first time. Heard he called following Monday about ordering himself a new set of Predator Arena Lights.

I looked at those supposed revo's and atleast in the pictures I seen there wasn't even a predator or R mark on them so I don't know how he's getting these sold
