New set of dynaspheres & getting back to the game

Wow, did it take the whole year for surgery and recovery? I was told that I need fusion at C4-C5, I have a herniated disc putting pressure on my spinal cord. I was told that it was approximately 8-12 weeks for recovery, are they lying to me?????
I had low back fusion and i was back in action in about 3-4mos. Was playing golf(pain free) a yr later. That was 12yrs ago. Still good.

Talked with my friend, just over 50yo. He was on a hiatus from pool and had bad lower back pain. After he started playing again, the pain was gone.
After a couple of hours of play, I feel my back, thigh and calf muscles. In a good way. Good balance for sitting in front of a computer all day.
Pool can help but I wouldn’t go on saying that it is a good remedy for back pain in general…
Ever talked to REAL doctor about this? Quoting one person's experience is pretty weak. I've talked to both orthopedic doc's and phys. therapists and they've all told me that pool is the cause of a lot of low back, neck, shoulder issues. More than one pro(Shuput, Coltrane) had to quit because of neck/back problems.

I stopped playing several months before hand due to it just being too painful. I got fused less than 12 weeks ago and I can play the game again. It's definitely worth it.
That is incredibly quick, good luck with your continued recovery.

That's good to hear. I am definitely hitting the golf course this summer. It's definitely a scary surgery, but so worth it. I should have done this 10 years ago.
