Die shoes,that's the black part made of steel it holds the die and can be used for all the dies just put in the die size you need to use.

Tom, how would you feel about them cutting silver and aluminum

with enough tonage you might be able to cut thin aluminum and silver,but the dies would not last very long.It takes a different designed dies to cut metal.
