Beautiful cue right there. I will make one nitty-pick: technically that's not a 'box cue'. A box-cue has rectangular boxes in the forearm instead of points. I really like the stain and veneer colors.

Crazy story. I use a guy in the poolroom to do my tips. Wonderful guy, a little crazy, very crazy. Love the guy. Generous to a fault. He's in his late 60's and works for a major paint brand advising commercial builders on site on paints and textures.
So I give him the kielwood and ask him to put a hard pressed Triangle on it.
Apparently he soaks Triangles in milk before he presses them like a milk dud.
Well his daughter had a child about a month ago and he told me that he used mother's milk on the Triangle before pressing it. I kid you not.
Didn't know what to say.
Loving the shaft and tip.
Only in the pool world.

I'm used to Triangles hard pressed.

Hit is very, very stiff. I asked Steve to find a nice kielwood shaft. The one he gave me actually has some configuration in it. As I've said before, the shaft diameter, length of taper, and tip mean everything to me when playing. I gave him a shaft to duplicate and he did. The butt is eye candy to me. I don't even think about balance but I am comfortable with 19 oz. It's all about the diameter, length of taper, and tip to me. It's as smooth as a baby's butt. I never wear a glove and use no powder.

Had the tip changed out by a local guy to a hard pressed triangle. At 74 playing the best pool of my life believe it or not.

I wonder if he shoots a load on the tips of the people he does not like.
