Took a chance on how this combination would work. I have to say they look pretty sweet together. This full splice cue has an Elkhorn buttcap, joint and ferrule. The joint pin is a G-10 Radial pin and the tip is a Kamui II medium soft. It comes in at a natural 19.2oz and balances out at just shy of 19 inches.

I have not hit any balls with it yet but plan to do so soon.

Let me know what you think ;)

I'd like to know what you think about the hit of the cue! One of the better hitting cues I own has a buckhorn (elkhorn) joint on it...

My best hitting cue got buckhorn on it like yours. Have fun with it, nice cue.

So I took her out for a spin (on the green ;)) and I was not disappointed. The first thing that struck me was the sound of the hit. It was almost like a snap such as you might hear with a hard leather break tip.
At first I was a bit nervous that there was a structural issue with the cue. After a few more hits I realized that this is the sound the cue has.
I then started to focus on the way the cue played. Moving whitey around is easy enough. The biggest adjustment was playing with a wider diameter ferrule. I normally shoot with an OB Classic Pro at 11.75mm and this one felt a little chubby at 12.7mm but again, once I let the extra 1mm of tip width go everything came together.
My overall impression is that the cue is most certainly a player and it gets a lot of inspection by the onlookers:smile:
