Yep, I read that entire thread myself all the way thru twice. Cornbread Red was born down in our part of the woods. I will jog my memory and try to throw out some. We did not have that level of action as far as Ten Thousands or Hundreds of Thousands. But we did do some all nite sessions to score the dough. This was before ball in hand and all balls spotted on scratches and you shot spot shots. I recall a $50 nine ball game where you could make the nine on combination and spot it back up and collect the $50 each time u made it and the local guy made it 5 times during the rack before he finally got out of line and then he continued to shoot and ran the remainder of rack and MADE THE NINE AGAIN. Not big story like the Rack but was pretty cool to the 18 year old at the time that is now 60 punching this keyboardHi Mr. Johnson,
I happen to be reading a thread about the action at "the Rack" in Detroit, MI during the 70's. Maybe you will find it entertaining, too: The Rack in Detroit.
Maybe you can share some of your stories at the City Pool Hall in Morehead, KY during those heydays.
