Hello Guys! My name is Logan and I recently stumbled upon this board. You guys really have a great site going here. I've learned a lot by reading through the archives. Here is some my pics of my cues and my table. Looking forward to being able to add to the board.
The order is 2 jacoby's, Capone, Black Boar, and my Zylr.

Thanks! I just moved here last month from Tucson where I grew up to go back to school. My roomate throughout college was Kerry Zieler's newphew and that how I got into cues. Someone mentioned it was on univeristy, I would like to check it out.

Great collection Logan.
That BB is very pretty.
I remember that cocobolo at Z's shop. I was there when he did the leather wrap.
I remember it going in so flush.

Thanks for the comments. merylane: I went and played at Kolby's last night. I stayed to about 2:30am, it is really a great hall. Staff was very friendly and everyone there had a really good attitude about them. Sure is different than some of the Tucson dive bars I've played in. :o

I am actualyl ready to pay my deposit for zylr. How is the hit for you?

y the way, I kno they are buckhorn joints and buttends, do they all turn blackish like that?

logan the thing i liked about pheonix, there was a lot of nice rooms. mainstreet was not to far from kolbys very nice. and on the other side of town was the golden 8 ball [maybee camel back and 17] ? its been a long time, dont know if its still there? was the big action room . the called it the zoo cause it was so crazy. big, like 50 tables. good stroking.

Hey Fish, that 'blackish' color is natural, not a discoloration. It's a 'grain' if you would.

True that.
Z just got some new gorgeous staghorns. Expensive imported kind that cannot be gotten here. Very white but still has "character" lines.
If they were pure white, they'd look plasticky to me.

Kerry can bleach them to come out pure white. If you get the chance, ask Kerry about Tad Kohara's "ancient chinese secret" for bleaching buckhorn pure white....the way Kerry tells it, you'll laugh for an hour.

Ancient chinese secret? I know that the Egyptians widely used urine as a bleaching agent for their teeth, and it killed the bacteria that typically forms in the mouth.

So, I am guessing that if you soaked buckhorn in urine, it would very likely do the same. :-)

The secret ingredient here being the ammonia that is contained in urine.
