Finally moved here.... a bit longer than I had expected but I'm here and settled.

Anyone care to show a newbie around the pool halls?

Have you moved to Manhattan? If so, you'll want to check out Amsterdam Billiard Club on Amsterdam Avenue and 76th Street and Corner Billiards on 4th Avenue and 11th Street. Another must visit room is Master Billiards, where you can play pool, snooker, and three cushion. Master Billiards is located in Queens but is not far from the 59th Street bridge that connects Queens and Manhattan. It is on Queens Blvd and 39th in Sunnyside (by train, take the 7 line to 40th Street).

I'd be happy to take you to any of these, and if you'd like to arrange a game, PM me.

Welcome to New York City and its vibrant pool community.

Heh... heh... heh...

Steve, sjm will give you a great overall view of the pool scene in NYC. But watch out! You have become another fish in a big city of Big Fish. I hope you have a great time on the pool scene. It is unbelievable!!

As Tom Cruise said in "Top Gun", "This is a target-rich environment".

Steve:
Danny "Shades" been looking for you here in Santa Monica at HOB. You're missing a lot of action here. Jose Parica's coming around a lot and all sorts of fun stuff is going on. Hope NYC proves to be as exciting pool-wise.

Don H

You might also check out West End Billiards in Elizabeth, NJ. They have a weekly tournament, which I think is held Monday night, where you'll find many of the top players in NYC and surrounds. It's pretty cool to find world class competition in a hometown type tournament where the entry fee is only about $20.

Didnt that close awhile ago?

Don-

Sorry that I'm missing Danny back in Santa Monica. Next time I'm back I'll give him 9-7 and he won't know what hit him!

Great to finally make the move! It took long enough but it was worth the wait.

I'll PM you my cell number. If you're ever near Corner give me a ring if you need a practice partner. Just go easy on me.
