I just started playing English pool a couple of weeks ago. Interesting how different it is from 9 ball. Funny how the pockets rattle balls a lot more too. Can't just slam them home to get position for the next shot. Have to be a bit more precise with your stroke. Still need to get used to the smaller table and marbles... uh I mean balls. 😄

Potting down cushions definitely takes getting used to. A touch of outside spin tends to help, but good luck bashing a ball down the cushion, because it's just going to rattle in the jaws the vast majority of the time.

Going back to English pool after playing American pool from time to time, and I agree, the cue ball is really small - almost comically so. I'd absolutely be in favour of seeing organisations introducing a 2" cue ball for the Pro Cup set.
