New to the TAP pool leagues

I don't know how a positive post turned into such a negative ! TAP is growing and that is great for us and our players. All leagues, as Sam posted, have areas that they must review. We all combat the same or similar issues. Our structures are different, our systems are different.

TAP now has a tournament module. Part of each players handicap now includes, week to week play, titleholders/local playoffs, and National play (such as Rally and the National event). The handicap is determined prior to the event. During the event, we have an auto flag system. As score sheets are getting entered, the system will list in a flagging report, those players playing 2 levels above their handicap. This is referred to as Auto Flag.

To qualify for a National event, licensees have a local event and send the winners. For every 15-20 teams, one team is sent to Nationals.

Any TAP player or licensee, who has questions or concerns, can at anytime contact the corporate office via Online Chat, the 800 # and we will be glad to help you and address your concerns.

So based on that, a 6 who plays like a top end 7 will never be caught. That explains all the 6's who put together 2 and 3 packs in repeated matches at the TAP regionals in the area I use to play in.

You can have an auto flag system all you want but when a team wins 3 years in a row and their handicaps go down, you have a serious problem.

This module was just released to our operators this past year. So it may take some time, but we are giving it our best shot. If you email me actual names of players, I can pull them up and see what is happening. kelly@tapleague.com - If valid, I can contact that operator.

Our National events have been being done, (scoresheet entry) for over a year closer to two.

The rule is if a player plays two levels over their handicap twice, they are disqualified from the event. 6's can get disqualified.
