I read somewhere that they are relying on the hall operators to give accurate ability ratings. What if you normally don't shoot at the hall where it is taking place?

We rely on our players and room owners for information so that I can accurately handicap all players.
In the case that a shooter attends the tournament that no information can be gathered, the tour director will handicap that player based on the player's word.
The Tonkin Tour has a zero tolerance for sandbagging and any player in violation of this rule will be ejected from the tournament.

Oh, I didn't know you were involved with the tournament. Could you give me an idea of each level's ability? I play at Fusco's, will talk to Ron on Tuesday night, but in the event I don't go in, I want to be able to give a good indication to the director at Main Line on the 13th. Fusco's has a chip tourney on Tuesday nights, ranging from 5 to 9 chips for most players. Warrington goes all the way to 13. What would the A/B/C/D/E/F equivalent be on an A-D rating system, since D is a complete novice there, and how would it match up to APA ratings?

How many chips do you get from The Spot? Either way we would love to have you.
7-8 =C
9-10=D
11-12=E
If you think your skill level is lower than an E, I would just have to confirm it with Billy K or James Kaiser

I get 8 or 9 from The Spot, haven't played at Warrington yet. Compared with others that play there, I would probably get 11. I would put myself at an E then. Thanks.

Based on what you said I would handicap you as a D-level player. Where you interested in giving me your name so that I could write you in?

Results from first event ? How many players ? I am thinking of stopping at Jimmy's place Sunday for event maybe.
