Got it narrowed down now.... Been talking with RC3 (Richard Chudy) and DZ (Bob Dzuricky). Thoughts between those 2?

I know things like this have been beat to death, so please forgive me... But I'm unable to find anything that addresses my specific topic...
I'm looking for a new weapon... I know what I like may not be what you like... However... The makers I'm considering are James White, Bob Dzuricky (DZ Cues), and Chris Nitti. The James White is used. I'm looking for feedback on any of these makers. Hit vs hit, etc... I've played with James White, Shawn Putnam, and Danny Tibbits... I like those hits. I'm looking for a player, not a collector... but yet still want it to retain value.

as you stated ..what you like may not suit others. in my opinion comparing how a cue hits vs another cue is invalid without both or all the cues having the exact same tip.

now some of you guys may disagree but that is my experience. i bought a custom cue once with 3 shafts. all 3 shafts had moori slows on them. i tried each shaft and really did not like how they hit and they all hit the same

i changed one to a moori medium...one with a tiger emerald and the last with a buffalo. i wound up with the buffalo tip shaft as my main player cause i liked the way it hit the best.

a friend had a mike erwin i tried out. i hated the way it felt and hit. he changed the tip to a moori medium and i really liked it.

last but not least i bought a meuci a few months ago. it had a milk dud that was put on it by a cue repairman at the pro tournament held here a while back it felt nothing like my old meucie. just for the hell of it i changed it to my 1st ever expensive tip yesterday. a soft kamui clear. it changed the way the cue hit tremendously ..and for the better.

in my opinion the tip is what hits the cue ball and provides the most feed back in how a cue feels and hits.

this coming from a former believer in it did not matter what tip was on a cue as long as it had plenty of leather on it and was shaped properly.
