For those women down in the NC/SC/TN/GA area that have been grumbling about not having a women's only competitive tour in the area, you will have an option beginning in October - here's your chance to support such a venture. Take a look: http://www.azbilliards.com/2000storya.php?storynum=5546

Please do not contact me about this tour, all contact information for the tour directors can be found in the writeup.

That's a good idea. I promise to give her a Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour T-shirt everytime she wers one in a picture while announcing another cue company is her title sponsor.

I'm pretty sure it was a stock photo and no subliminal message was ment by it.........:outtahere:

now now Mike, don't be catty.

actually, i asked her to send a photo of her and her husband so that the players could see who was behind the scenes, i am sure the Viking shirt was not even a thought - nor would have been if you hadn't mentioned it.

I just thought it was cool.

I'm glad somebody is doing something for the women in the SE. I tried but couldn't.

PS.. as a note I have a standing offer to anyone that starts a Ladies Tour here in the SE that they can use my mailing list for the Lady players. It has a couple hundred names and address on it.

Please make sure Alicia remembers this offer. I think I told her about it in Knoxville.

after posting the writeup this evening, i sent her a link to the thread that was started so i am sure she will see your offer - thank you for doing so - i am sure it would come in quite handy. as mentioned previously, that area seemed to be lacking in the way of women only events (and i have heard nothing but grumbles from those that live down there about that fact), so hopefully the women of the area will support a new outlet. i have only spoken to Alicia by telephone and email while preparing the writeup, but it is obvious she is giving this her all.

Good luck with the new tour. Looking forward to seeing who plays in it. There sure are a lot of women players in that area. Johnnyt

Hey Alicia, I am still holding it in my briefcase for you to pick up. I have taken it to the last several AM events but you didn't come back. As I mentioned, it is not something that can be emailed.

Email me the address you want it sent to and I will put it in the mail.

I'm gonna have to shave my legs for this tourney....Like the Bud Light commercial were the guys dress up like ladies for free bud light...
It's good to here about the ladies tour. I just wanna know is it open to all ladies? You know like can pro women play in it too?

thanks

thank you johnnyt for your encouragement, that was very nice of you.. I believe that the tour will do great as long as I can get some more sponsorships . Right now we have only 4, just enough to make a small package..

Yes it is an open event and pros are definitely welcome. why do you know a pro lady that wants to attend?

Thanks for the encouragement. Do I know you? I hope we will have a good turnout. So far the responses are good..

It would be nice to see an open woman's tour that has non-competing tour dates with the WPBA. It would give the fans that never saw the pro's live get a chance to see how really good they are. Johnnyt

open tour

Having the tour "open" will bring in the pros as well as the amateurs that want to see the pros play or like me, I want to be at the table competing against them. Not that I can win, but "to be one of the best you must play with the best". I have found over the years that I play better and harder against players that are better than me. Besides it would be an honor to be at the table with any WPBA player, especially my favorites Karen Corr, Allison Fisher, Kelly Fisher, Monica Webb, Helena Thornfeldt, Julie Kelly, or Vivian Villarreal.

Just thought i would forewarn you about letting top pros in. This will run off your attendance.
