So, I was reading the article on azbilliards about the WPBA's first event coming up. It mentioned a new ranking system, where all players are starting at zero. I'm assuming that there will be two sets of rankings, like in tennis. In tennis, there are the rolling rankings (used for seeding in tournaments). Those would be like the current rankings, where they use the 10 most recent events, knocking off the 11th every new event. With tennis, there are also yearly rankings, that take just the results for one calendar year, to see who the top player was in the year 2007, 2008, etc. I'm guessing that's how the new rankings work.
