Today I got back two of my cues. The two babies got a new wrap!

My Esperitu B/J now has a black leather wrap from the leg of an ostrich.

The SpiderWeb now has a black leather wrap from a watersnake. This wrap isn't fixed straigth. You can see on the pics that it is drilled around.

I'm looking to play with both tonight and get some experience about the feeling and the grip of them.

I'd like to know what the AZ'ers think about.

Best wishes from germany

You ask why? I don't know. I talked long with the guy named Franky and he sent me some awsome looking possible leather types. He told me the ostrich leg looks great and I decided to get this one on my breakcue. For the SpiderWeb I choose a black nappa leather but Franky had problems to install it and we switched to the watersnake. Original the Spider had a green/white Linen. You must like this cue with that Linen wrap. And I was willing to sell it but the most intrested people wasn't impressed by this combination. So wanted to change the wrap.
You can see more pics on the following link: https://fotoalbum.web.de/gast/customcue/Esperitu_SpiderWeb_leatherwrap

I also added some pictures from examples Franky sent me. He has done a exotic warp on his Predator breakcue.

I somehow don't think that the water (sea) snake hide is authentic but I may be wrong. It looks like embossed leather to me as real sea snake has roundish pattern and doesn't need to be spiral wrapped onto a cue since they come wider than 100mm and the biggest circumference on a cue's handle is just a little under a 100mm.

That blue grey one looks like sea ray...I've been contemplating using some except I would leave that hump they have out....

sea ray

Hi showboat!
You're right. It's perl ray!

For Bandido!
I phoned with Franky and he told me the leather has the holes form the nails and it's a big original leather. He got it from a person making clockribbons. But he didn't realy know from which typ it is. He made the flame test and the smoke was white.
Thanks for all answers.

By the way! I played now with the Esperitu and the ostirch-leg-leather feels damn good and it looks better and better! :)

Leather samples

Hi Bandido!
I spoke with Franky about your answer and he didn't get it out of his mind. So he sent me some pictures from the leatherskins he has. You can see the holes from the nails to stretch the leather.

Please look at the following link for the samples!

Looking forward for your answer. :)
