After a year long wait I just got my new Zylr cue today! This is my 2nd cue from Kerry and it looks even better than the first one. The Bacote is some of the darkest and most beautiful I have ever seen!

This cue also has a few improvements over the last one. Like the new "Ivor-X" ferrules and Moori tips. Kerry introduced these new ferrules at the trade show about a year ago. This cue also has a prototype black anodized aluminum joint pin.

Now for the good part. Kerry said that this cue will be in the new, 3rd Edition of the Blue Book of Pool cues coming out next year. It was one of 6 cues they shot, and the only Bacote cue he had. If you're interested in seeing some pictures, send me an email and I'll shoot you the zip file I made. For some pictures check out my Yahoo album...

Congrats Mike.
I saw your cue as it was being made at Kerry's shop.
With a bacote forearm and Kerry's tight, tight, construction, you have yourself one solid hitting cue.
I know of one player who ordered a bacote cue from Kerry as well.
Kerry made my b'ye playing cue. Best damn cue I've ever owned.
Back then, his waiting was only around 4-6 months.
No longer as he is no longer a "sleeper" cuemaker.

Joseph,

I've heard about you in some of Kerry's emails. You were the first to test the new "Ivor-X" ferrules. These are really nice and Kerry did another great job on the cue. If the other player that ordered a bacote cue you're referring to named Valentine, than I was the one who referred him to Kerry. He was really excited to see the pictures and hear how it played. Kerry's cues are getting more popular and they should. He makes a great one!

That's right, Val was the other guy.
I played Val one time and he saw my Z.
He started asking about it and he said he heard that the Z's played like no other cue. He went to Kerry's place the same day and ordered one.
Val likes his cues really stiff. He was playing with a converted Titlist made by Pete Tascarella. Oh, it was a beauty.

Kerry does make a great cue. I have got a couple from him and helped him move alot of them in the S.E. I met him at Best Billiard Supply when it still was around and spent many an hour with him.

I hope he has fully recovered from all the problems he went through.
