So whats the news with the NUTS?

Has the UPA bought into it?

When is the national tournament?

Has any other tours joined in?

Inquiring minds want to know?

Theres been a few Viking tournaments in Ohio with low turnouts. The Viking tour charges $37 dollars to enter its tournaments up $7 from $30 previous years and also charges $25 dollars Viking Tour "memebership" fee, so your total for your first NUTS tournament is $62.00. Not very enticing when only 30-40 players show up and roughly 70% of the entry fees go into the prize funds. $7 dollars of the $37 dollar entry fee goes towards N.U.T.S. If you noticed, there have been no Viking tour or NUTS results posted on AZB....

I am not sure about the economy in OH, but I imagine it isn't much diffrent than WV's and I pay more than that to play plus normally at least a two hour drive one way. I can not say NUTS has has a negitive impact on the local tour in my area. But granted, I am a girl and only the boys have the NUTS so what do I matter anyway??

JustPlay, Your #'s above are stated wrong. Here are the correct #'s. The entry fees are $37 with $2 of that going to the NUTS fee and $10 towards table time and $25 to the prize fund. The tour card fee is only $20.

As far as the turnouts in Ohio go we are right on track for the summer months which is why we don't do many events in the summer time. 30-40 players for the $500 amateur events on days when it's 75-85 degrees outside are actually good #'s for the Ohio region.

Also, I will make sure I get all the results posted on AZ as soon as I get back from vacation.

Also, please forgive me if Ii don't get the results in tooo soon. I am currently on vacation at http://www.nlqp.com and as soon as I wash some clothes I will be going to http://www.putinbayphotos.com/ . If anyone gets to the Island in the next week or two look me up and I'll buy you a beer.

Mike,

I was wondering if you have anything coming to the Pittsburgh area anytime soon. I haven't been able to find a schedule for anything past June 12th.

Thanks
