Here are some pics of my new Jerry -R- Mosconi Bushka tribute cue.
What a fantastic deal this was. I received it yesterday and played with it for about 3 hours. no regrets, it plays as good as it looks.
These pictures don't show all the fine details but I assure you it is flawless,

Santa Did You Right.......

Kaiser.......you lucky bastard........it arrived just in time for Christmas.....Wow.

Thank you for the photos......please post more when you get the time......there really can't be too many.....about a dozen or so seems right......close-ups of the rings.......the forearm......the sleeve........great stain look on your cue.

This one really is off the charts, as was the others Jerry's recently finished. In any event, the BEM stain on your cue is glorious and I like it a lot.....a whole lot. I know in order for a cue design to be a true Bushka design, it requires a 5/16x14 steel joint. But these ivory joints on Jerry's Bushka cues are so striking in appearance......it really does make the overall look more handsome in my opinion.

Jerry is on a hot streak and he's just hitting home run after home run......it's like watching MLB Home Run Derby.......he's knocking it out of the park with each and every Bushka cue. Now I am going crazy waiting for mine, especially since I have some leads on some Cortland #12 for my cue.

What weight is your cue? Does it play nicer than your other cues? Are the copper/gold rings in the sleeve the rare Palmer/Balabushka acrylic Jerry has? I'm thinking of having Jerry use metal copper rings in my design instead of acrylic rings. Your cue turned out great which is why I ask.

The cue Bob Owen completed for me 5 months ago is absolutely the best hitting pool cue I own. I attribute that to being made exactly as I orderd it......all the weights turned out to be within 1.5 "grams" of what I specified in ounces when I placed my order. Yup, I specified my cue butt 14.5 ounces and it is 410 grams......even the shaft weights are what I asked for. That's why I think it plays so great.....it was made exactly as I wanted and when you buy a used cue, that very seldom happens.....in fact, it's never happened to me with any used cue I own......there's always something about the cue I'd change.

Well, that's not going to be the outcome with these amazing Rauenzahn Bushka cues as every owner will attest. These cues are exactly as everyone has ordered and that's over the top good in my opinion. It is exciting to be part of this project and I'd be so envious and jealous had I waited and missed out. But every cue dealing I've had with Dean Campbell has been extraordinarily great and so I knew this was going to be something special and boy oh boy, it sure has.

Stay tuned folks for more Bushkas from Jerry but the ones he produced so far.....Dunn's, Gonzo's & now the Kaiser's cue........OMG, who doesn't love these Bushka cues.......these are cues that anyone would relish owning. Like I previously posted, the cues are so good that I'm going to do it again.

Matt thanks for the nice words about my cue. They enhance my thoughts about it as well.

I gave Jerry what I thought I wanted and asked him to use some of his own ideas on the build.

I wanted to follow the theme of the Mosconi Bushka but not an exact copy.

I requested Jerry to make the weight as close to 18oz. as he could.
It weights 18.25oz. on my postage scale. Close enough for me.
Jerry used a titanium pin to achieve the weight spec.

I also asked for 19in. balance point and it is right there.

I requested birds eye maple because I think it makes the points pop and adds interest to the forearm.

I request Ivory joint because I like the softer feel when hitting a ball.

I wasn't sure about the wrap. so I asked Jerry to call when he was ready to install it.
When he called he said he had a source for the Cortland and suggested that it would be a good choice for my cue.

I believe Jerry said he would use the Palmer/Balabushka acrylic rings on my cue.
they look awesome.

Overall, I am extremely pleased with this cue.

I feel like I got way more value than I paid for.

I am so glad I got this opportunity, Thank You Dean Campbell.

This cue is a masterpiece work of art, masterly crafted, and a precision tool, too enjoy visually and physically what a deal that is.

This cue is almost too good to use but, I have collector cars and half the fun is driving them so, this cue is going to be played (5 hours so far).

Its difficult to describe how good it feels to play with this cue. all I can say is its a keeper.

I hope you get your cue soon. I can't wait to see what you and the others have coming.

Very nice choice of materials. Jerry Rauenzahn's work will continue to increase in value with cues like this one. Glad you like the play of this cue with the ivory joint. That's what I play with also, his cues are the NUTZZZ!!!! Great feedback on every shot.

The rings he procured from us, they were for sale in the main section, now we are low on the copper and there maybe one more set to go. Then it won't be for sale anymore, but my Klein and this cue show how great a combination it actually is.

You can see now, that the color is really closer than the other cues. However all the Mosconi Bushka tributes are really nice and all owners should be very happy. This one is no exception, can't wait to see the multiple Mizerak Bushka "tributes" that I am sure will be forthcoming.

JV (---BTW I just found my red rings... :) (NFS)

Copper Acrylics

Thanks to classic cues for being the source for the acrylics.

I'm not sure what Jerry will decide to use for my design and since he's the cue-maker, I'm relying upon his keen eye and assessment. That's why he builds cues and I just buy them. I'll check with Jerry next week to make sure he has the materials for my cue since the copper acrylic is in short supply.

One of our 10 buyers has ordered the Mizerak "Dove" Balabushka design and apparently, there's only a single dove inlay in Mizerak's Balabushka cue. Kaiser, my cue weight will like your cue; I specified the cue weight to be between 18.25 & 18.5 ozs. as max weight.

Meanwhile, let the celebration begin..................Jeez, it's a Bushka Bonanza the likes of which has never been seen before.

Congratulations on a real beauty. Just one after another coming out of Jerry's shop and they are all splendid! Spotless work!

If you were going for the Mosconi cue look, you did good with the copper-brass colored rings in the buttplate. There have been many who have thought the color was the more common gold color, which was not the case at all. Great looking cue, good detail.

Take A Look & Better Appreciate How Great Jerry R. Is.

Each and every one of us has our own tastes in cue designs. And we also have our own opinions of cue-makers and which ones are the best or the greatest. One name that comes to mind for greatness is Pete Tascarella. I've never heard anyone knock Pete Tascarella cues, except for one blockhead who wrote on Az his ivory joints weren't his cup tea.....he referred to them as faux ivory joints......imagine ......what a jerk to write that on this Forum.

Anyway, many readers have probably read my enthusiastic posts about these Bushka cues Jerry Rauenzahn is making for a bunch of us thanks to the creativity of Dean Campbell. I've praised his cue workmanship on these completed Bushkas and complimented the new owners on their selection of a great design. How great has these Bushka cues Jerry's made turned out? I rate them on a scale of 1 -10 a solid 9.7 - 9.8. I really can't imagine what it would have required to score a 10.....Well, maybe I do.....I have to wait and see until March rolls around.

Oh yeah, before I forget, Yup, it was me.....I was that aforementioned jerk that knocked the ivory joint.....so let me just state I have recently been able to examine a Tascarella cue joint in person. The cue owner allowed me to hit a dozen pool balls with it and I got to examine the cue very closely.....okay, I go on record again....I was wrong.....Sorry Pete, as if he even knew what I originally wrote on the Forum.

In any event, Pete Tascarella is a cue-maker known for extraordinary quality and exquisitely detailed workmanship flawless in every aspect. Dunn M1's cue, DrGonzo and now Kaiserman's cues turned out to be flat out stunning & competes with Bushka cues made by any other cue-maker for sheer beauty and replica authenticity. For your own appreciation, here are a few photos of a Bushka cue made by none other than Pete Tascarella......it's not my cue but it's one any of us would love to own. It's a reason I ordered one of these Bushka Tributes from Jerry R. and you can judge for yourself that both cue-makers produce extraordinarily great Balabushka reproduction cues. And personally, I really prefer the acrylic rings in Kaiserman's Bushka cue and if the same acrylic was used in the Tascarella cue, the rings just show differently in Kaiserman's cue butt sleeve. Anyway, after viewing Pete's cue workmanship, and also seeing Jerry's similar cue designs, you get a better appreciation for just how good Mr. Rauenzahn is at making pool cues.

Congrats on a classic looking beauty.
Like you said "It's a keeper".

Nice cue, congrats again.

I going to have Jerry build me a Mizerak Dove Bushka. it will take approx. 9-12 months I'll post updates as they happen

Keep In Mind......For a Close Poximity......

You own a great looking cue from Jerry that is envied by so many of us. Mizerak's Balabushka cue design is so unique.
If you want an authentic repro, well, I've made acquaintances with the fellow who did inlay cuts for George Balabushka.
He actually made the dove inlay for that very cue and he told me that there's only a single dove.........just one (1) dove
in its design. I thought it both odd & curious but he was very knowledgeable & dead certain of that fact and I believed him.
