I recently came across this app for billiard scoring. I've used it on both my phone (LG G4) and my tablet.
It lets you set up a match - names, # of pts., #inning limit, time parameter, etc.
Then to use it you just press the green check mark or the red X after every shot and it will keep score, count innings, compute average, track high run, etc.
Best of all - it's free,
I've never found a good reliable way to count innings (a necessary pre-condition to tracking average) in practice or casual play, but this as a lot of potential, IMO. I like using it on the phone for practice because i can just carry it around the table and pay it down on the rail to shoot. For matches the tablet is better just because of its size.
Anyway, if you have a droid (don't know if there is an iphone version but I bet there is) phone and/or tablet you might check it out.
