I'm going to the WPBA tournament in March. Watching the pros play always inspires me to go hit some balls. Is there a nice pool hall in that area?

I lived in New Buffalo, MI., which is about ten minutes from Michigan City. There is not any place there, that I know of. In South Bend, IN. there is The Brass Eagle. In Niles, MI. there is The Billiard Garden. Both of these places are about 40-45 minutes away.rukiddingme said:

As to your thread regarding Michigan City Indiana and nearby pool rooms, there really are no "nice" or "upscale" rooms even close to the area. It is probably the closest to the casino. The best players in the region play at TJ's Pocket Billiards in Portage Indiana. They have excellent equipment, but it can be a bit cramped due to their size and it can get overrun with high school aged kids. 13 tables(12 - 7's, 1 - 9'), Granito cloth. It is probably twenty five minutes from Michigan City by car. The phone number of the pool room is 219-762-5275 and it is located at 6510 US Highway 6, Portage, Indiana 46368. Open Monday thru Friday at 2:45 PM until whenever everyone leaves and Saturday and Sunday 12:00 PM until everyone leaves. This used to be a budding area for pool rooms and players in general, but pool is on the down side in the region as there really is nobody running tournaments or promoting the game on a consistent basis.
