I subscribe to this paper. Lots of interesting reading. I bought my HVLP from one of their advertisers for like 30% off.
Mostly I get good motivation from reading about different people who have abandoned the real world for a life as a wood worker.

Yeah those are a good read, I think I have a couple of old issues buried around here somewhere.

Although they still mail it to me. I think it is pretty much all on line now. It comes in my email each month.

You know what, I'll have to dig up My old issues, but I may be mistaking It for woodworkers journal.

I have a 2004 issue of fine woodworking, that has some good stuff In It. They do a comparison on band saw blades, and a there's an article on HVLP spraying in the same issue. It's issue NO. 169 . Heck even 4 years ago the cover price was $7.99 for 118 pages. It's not very thick at all considering the $8 price tag. Probably get an old copy on the bay for less these days. One thing that's pretty cool is a band saw the guy is using has a hand made jig that has a counter weight pulley setup to cut thin wood with. Looked like He used stacked steel barbell weights to get the feed speeds set where He wanted.
