It wasn't very steep because I remember her stroking it pretty hard. Anyway I agree with "coming into the angle" whenever possible.cuetechasaurus said:It's different to see the shot in the diagram and then see it on an actual table. I am guessing the reason she played it is that she had a steep angle on the 8, and to get 1 rail position for the 9 on the short side she had to hit it too soft and didn't want to roll the ball to the hole. The angle was probably too thin for her to draw with low outside to come 1-2 rails for position on the opposite side. Her percentages on that shot were fairly high, because as long as she strikes it the way she intended, the cueball will be rolling towards the 9 after coming off the 4th rail.
uhm... Huh?Kevin Lindstrom said:If this shot was made at the IPT tournament it would not have been very good at all. Only because why would she shoot the 8 ball in first to get position on the 9 ball. Its funny how we are so engrained with 9 ball that this must have been a diagramed this way out of force of habit.

Anyhow she must have made a wonderful shot and I glad to here that she did pretty well.

It was diagramed this way because the game was 9ball. You see, in 9ball the balls must be "potted" in numerical order.![]()

She played it on Hal's TV. He was watching the US Open on ESPN2.Kevin Lindstrom said:Shoot now I am confused myself. I thought Allison played yesterday in the Kill of the Hill IPT tournament in Florida which if I remember correctly was an 8 ball tournament. If I am mistaken can you tell me which 9 ball tournament that Allison played in yesterday, was it a WPBA sanctioned event or other, if so which tournament was it in???? Thanks
