Check it out....1/2 the price of the shaftmaster
type in cue lathe and search e-bay or by item#7585861151

First and most important of all, the unit doesn't include tooling for doing tip repair. A BIG MINUS imho.

Read through his reputation. Too many negs for so few auctions.

ejant, If you browse through my feedback you will see that 99.9% of the negetive feedback is in responce to non-paying bidders. I take alot of pride in myslef to do the right thing and be honest. Just some FYI...

sometimes you do have to read between the lines with ebays feedback....

Still probably a better deal than a similar Porper would cost....

The lathe is a ryobi with an extended bed. I did the same thing for my first repair lathe. The tooling needs to be zero morse taper, tough to find, only other lathe that I could find that used that tooling was the older sears lathes. Unfortunately I think they stopped making them so replacement parts will be tough to find.

The tooling is actually a #1 morse taper for both the headstock and the tailstock. Very easily attainable through companies such as ENCO, SEARS, or J &L Industrial Supply. Replacement parts are readily available for this lathe.
Thanks,

Sorry bout that my mistake, been awhile since I dealt with it. Do a search for ryobi lathe, their are three for sale on Ebay for a reasonable price.
