I am curious as to how the 9 was going in?? Was It going straight in the corner pocket unobstructed? If so that is a loose back ball.
What I would like to know is how to avoide the two most common kick in 9-balls on the break...(at least common against me)
1 - The 9-ball goes straight down toward the end rail and just as it gets there a ball hits it sending it straight along the end rail into either of the corner pocket.
2 - (seems real common) - The 9-Ball barely moves left or right, a ball (from I have no idea where in the rack) banks off the end rail and hits the 9 sending it straight up table into one of the corner pockets..(or some times side)
