No Music City Open thread?

Has this tournament fallen off that bad? I know the field was weaker than normal this year but it just surprises me there not even any discussion about it.

The 34th Annual Music City Open 9 Ball Championships. JOB Billiards in Madison, Tennessee January 12-16, 2022. One of the most prestigious events of the year. The list of Champions winning this event over the years is amazing. Great warmup event the week before Derby City Classic.

So the Predator 10 Ball in AZ was a WPA event. Is that the reason the no shows for AZ (top pros) didn't play in the Music City event?

This event doesn't draw like in the past. Not really a good tune-up for the 9ft. Diamonds coming up at Derby. Plus the smoke in that place is brutal. Damn near need a gas-mask if its busy.

I agree it needs to go no smoking.

The smoke was awful yes, bathrooms are quite bad as well….not really equipped or maintained enough for like 35 people let alone 200+ . The diamond boxes might be the easiest on planet earth, absolute buckets. Overall there was very little action as well.

Probably have the LeagueCut pockets. Place i play at has them and they are big. Good for league and general customer play but not much challenge for better players.
