I spoke with Matt a couple days before the event and he was told last minute that he would be alowed to play in the amateur event. A mutual friend of Allen and Matt spoke to Allen and he said that Matt could play. Matt hasnt played or cashed in a tourney since he won the expo. He took a break to raise his daughter and coach her is sports. He just recently got back to playing regularly . He didnt play in the open because to found out to late that he could play and already had surgery scheduled . Last Friday he had 2 disc fused in his neck. BTW he is doing well after the surgery.and hopes to get back on track shooting again after recovery.
