Non-abrasive bridge hand powder?

I have a Predator Revo or carbon fiber shaft. I would like to keep the original finish intact as long as possible. I have been using a glove which I have never done until moving to these carbon fiber shafts.

I was just wondering if there are any non-abrasive powders we could use on "Carbon Fiber Shafts" instead of a glove? I still prefer the feel of raw dog'n it even with my Revo shaft.

I heard that Baby Powder no longer contains Talc or Talcum. So could we use:
  • Talc-Free Powder
or
  • Pure Cornstarch
on Carbon fiber shafts?

I mean a glove would collect blue chalk over time anyway. So using the same glove would potentially wear down the finish much quicker than one of these powders?

you'll probabaly get a new cue long before anything happens to the CF finish due to a glove or anything else.

If you keep it clean, you can use it with no glove or powder. Problem is that it grabs dirt very fast and will be needing often cleaninig during a match and not just wipping it down, but going for those alcohol wipes during a match.
Just use the glove and get used to it. Use the high end chalk and everything will stay clean for a long time.

Basically spend a lot of time treating the cue and washing your hands like a surgeon or just wear a glove and forget about it.
I don't know if my pool hall allows powders. I really don't sweat much at all. It's usually only on rare occasions or when I'm hurrying out of the bathroom in the middle of a game, without drying my hands all the way. I was thinking of just keeping a little lip balm container full of cornStarch, just to dab a little on my finger arch and wipe the excess off on a towel or my shirt.

I actually have gotten quite use to using a glove. So much so that I feel kind of naked when I forget to put it on. I've only break & ran 2 racks in the last 2 months and 1 of those times was when I forgot to put the glove on.

If the hall doesn’t allow powder just lay out a “line” of it next to a rolled up bill with a dab under your nose and they’ll leave you alone
