Hi all,

I wanted some thoughts about this tour.

Do you think it would be good for a D or C player to enter these events, for the chance to play good players???

Or do you think it would be bad to play when you have really no chance of doing well (being in the money), and probablly won't get past your first to matches (the winner side and the thanks for your donation side)???

Or do you think it's a waste of good money that could be spent on lessons, or something else???

Maybe it's not a good idea for a D player, but a C player should at least try it out once or twice. Sometimes you need a good reality check. Sometimes you need to redefine "the next level." Sometimes, you just need to get your ass kicked.

I concur with Fred.
If you are a C level player there is always the chance to catch a decent draw and get to the money. From there it is a real uphill battle but worth the experience as far as I'm concerned.

I agree with both Fred and Koop that a C player should step up and play in a higher tourney once and a while for the experience.

BBBBBBBBBBUUUUUUUUUUUTTTTTTTTTTT............

The New England A B tour is NNNNOOOOTTTT a B tourney it is mostly A players and it really shouldn’t be called an A B tour. The last tourney they had the final 4 players have all cashed high in Joss events.

That being sad I would suggest against playing in this particular tour if you are a D or C player all it will do is frustrate you, in my opinion.

There are plenty of local weekly tourneys around that have a nice range of players in them that will help you judge for yourself where you stand and where you would like to go. I would suggest checking them our first and finding out who plays where and how you compare to them.

Just my opinion. (I have a small problem with tours calling themselves one thing and you walk in and its all short stops and world beaters)
