Spoke with Larry Eans, apparently he and his dad Marty have sold the Northern Lounge to NEW OWNERS. Ownership change will happen some time this month.
Apparently the Bar was recently closed for two day, and is now Reopened, with the Eans still running it. Tournaments, Leagues will continue per the norm, with a Sixes, and Under-This Saturday, 9 Ball, with Sign up at 12:30 PM, and State at 1:00 PM. Twenty Buck Entry, Side pots, full information call the Bar, @ 623-937-0940.
Kind of sad to see Larry & Marty selling the Northern Lounge as it was the first place I ever play in a Tournament in Arizona.
The Eans were major support of my project "Cue 4 Kids", and made a major contribution to the BGCMP after the Bill Moore Memorial, and Boy & Girls Club of Metro Phoenix Fundraiser.
Larry & Marty did a lot of good for Arizona Pool, and Pool Player IMHO, always helping out Pool Players when they were in need, hospitalized, etc.
They will be missed at the Northern, and I wish them both the best of luck with their future endeavors.
