not finding center CB + not hitting where I aim on CB

Jordan...MD 4 is the one you're quoting here. It's difficult for almost any player, outside of an elite pro, to shoot that drill, at any speed, with draw, and not have at least some tiny bit of sidespin. This is why I told you to call me, and I'll help you set up a drill that reinforces correcting those errors.

Thanks for all the comments so far. Yes, I am having trouble CUEING along the horizontal center. I can find the center along the vertical axis. When I cue a stop shot I may add a half rotation left or right by adding a tiny bit of left or right.

The problem gets worse though when I move up and down the vertical axis. If I do the shot where I place the cb on the spot and shot the cb down table and bak to hit my tip, if I am shooting center ball I can do this pretty well after a few tries I get about 8 out of 10. However when I shoot it center with draw I am off a diamond sometimes when it heads back down.

I know where I want aim on the cb, but my cueing and final contact are not as strong, straight, and accurate as I would like them to be.

Thanks Scott. I will give you a call. I am missing shots because of this problem (the more difficult ones albeit) but the misses are attributed to what I would call a weaker than I'ld like delivery. My cueing and final swing is not as level and on the money as I would like it.

Thanks everyone.

why??
what that does tell you??

Fran may correct me, if she perhaps had another thing in mind.
But the bridge can also cause problems bbb - and an open bridge often will show you *your errors* clearer and faster.

can't find cue balll ctr. - reply

If I understand you correctly and you need to find the vertical axis. Try lining your tip up along the aiming line with the point where the cueball touches the cloth. That's going to be the center of the cue then raise it up to the equator of the cue ball for center ball.

I'm not an 'instructor' but I have 45yrs. of 'x' & I agree or... top center down to center. Also, when I 'have' to hit center cue ball with no 'English!' I actually look right at what I see as the cue ball center when I stroke it. This seems to help ME keep english off of the cue ball. You might ask, 'don't you look at the cue ball on all shots?" MY answer is, no I don't. After I decide where on the cue ball I want to hit it I think most of the time I'm 'LOOKING' down my aim line near the object ball. I think it depends on the difficulty of the shot. There is alot to 'guage' when shooting with english. My eyes are looking all ove the place but they end up looking straight down my aim line MOST of the time. Probably because I'm not trying to hit center. I'm using some form of english on most shots. But, as I said when I 'have' to hit center I look right at what I see as the center & then I stroke the tip right on that spot. Hope this helps. Sorry I'm so long winded.
