Not your standard Dieckman Masse Cue....

When I received this cue.... I question ... was it a Masse or JumpCue??

A call to DD answer my question and more.

First off not a jump cue... Dieckman have only made 10 jump cues and all sold to one Billiard Room in Michigan back in '80.

This Masse Cue is 1 of only 8 made [3 butts he haven't completed out of 12 butts. The 12th butt is another story , I leave for Dieckman to explain]

Of the 8 masse cue this the only one signed with the owner name.[Not my name]

Butt Spec : Lenght 16 1/2"
Threads 3/8"x 10 thrds
WT. 15 3/4 ozs

Diamonds: Holly Wood
Forearm: Purpleheart
Butt: Maple with designand band

Shaft spec: Predator Z2 shaft
Ferrule: 3/8"
Lenght 29 3/4"
Wt: 3 1/4 ozs

Total lenght Butt and Shaft- 46 1/2" [original was told 47"]

Total wt: 19ozs

This Masse Butt will take a standard 3/8x10 threads Shaft diameter [Example McDermott Shaft].

I wondered who sniped me on ebay LOL..... First thing you need to do is ditch the predator shaft... Masse cues need mass at the tip to perform properly... As far as using it for a jumper it may work for the dart but the stroke is likely gonna be rough action....

Glad to know another Azer ended up with it

You're welcome The Renfro... Yes this a lighter masse cue, but allow the player to use his regular standard shaft to do masse.

What I had in my mind if I had gotten it was to have a heavy purple heart or ebony shaft made with a brass ferrule trying to get it up to about 23oz...

Most I have encountered run from 23-26...

I have a ton of bumble bee diamond wood that I had intended for break shafts... The wood was too heavy for that purpose so it may just get repurposed..

The one he made for you spots the other one the 6... I am still beating on my maker to get me one completed and I have not yet personally owned one... I so far have just done lots of reading and borrowed a few here and there to try... Will definitely do some research on here about specs when it's time...
