Bump

A little less than 3 weeks away. Looking for a good turnout for this tournament. Amarillo, Dallas, OKC, Tulsa.....who's gonna make the trip for what should be a great tournament?

Looking forward to seeing some familiar faces and some new ones.

The 12 Days of the Tournament

On the 12th day of the Tournament, ........

Yeah, I'm not going to try to do all that. :)

12 Days out. I just got back from a trip home to great state of Iowa (Go Hawkeyes) and heard there was some talk over the weekend about a good turnout.

Long story, Short.....Bump.

Max 64

Calls are beginning to come in from out of town to reserve spots. Although I cannot accept payments over the phone, I am willing to accept phone calls to get a priority list in place.

Looking forward to you guys all kicking my butt all over my own tables. :)

One Week to go

7 days until th3 3rd Annual Memorial Tournament kicks off.

The crews from Amarillo, Gainesville/Ardmore, OKC, Wichita Falls and the Dallas/Ft. Worth area have joined with the local Lawton players to make this tournament a lot of fun the last two years. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone back in and playing some good pool again this year.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Carl. See you next week.

I will be opening at 8am to allow plenty of practice.

PM me for hotel/restaurant ideas or directions.

3 Days

Just 3 days away.

I'm all excited after winning my Masters match tonight. Just thought I'd share. :)

Hope to see an uncontrollable mob on Saturday.

2 Days to go

The calls are picking up and coming in from OKC, Altus, Dallas, and Gainesville. I think you're going to work me to death on Saturday! I'm okay with that.

One change:

The final is a double dip, so I'm changing the race back to 9 (same as Winners' Bracket). A double dip to 11 is a bit much to ask.

See you Saturday.

New Cloth

How about brand new cloth for our tournament tomorrow?! There is nothing more beautiful than a good Diamond Smart Table with brand new Tournament Blue Simonis 860 on it. :lovies:

Success

We had 32 competitors on Saturday for our 3rd Annual Memorial Tournament.
Chip Compton once again dominated. It occurred to me that Chip has never lost a match in our house. I'm humbled.

Top Finishers include:
Payout Auction
1) Chip Compton, OKC $800 $600
2) Sean King, OKC $450 $300
3) Joseph Tomkoski, Jones, OK $210 $170
4) Joey Gray, OKC $110 $100
5) TJ Davis, Dallas $75
5) Billy Dyke, Norman, OK $75
7) Andy Wyatt, Lawton, OK $40
7) Marco Gagliardi, Lawton, OK $40

Last Lady competition included 3 skilled players; Tina Land of Ft. Worth, Connie Svoboda of Ft. Worth, and Tisha Leslie of Lawton, OK (co-owner of Break-n-Run and co-Tournament Director). Tisha outlasted the duo from Ft. Worth to take home the $100 payout and finish 9th, just one round away from the field payout, after being taken out by familiar foe, Andy Wyatt, of Lawton. See next paragraph for how much we love Mr. Wyatt! :)

I must say thank you to a great group of individuals loaded with talent. I, for one, forgot my game somewhere. I found that I am a very honest racker as Andy snapped the 9 three times while running out twice en route to a 9-2 slaughter of the tournament director, yours truly, in the opening round.

Cory Blankenship wasn't much nicer.

I am looking forward to seeing this group again soon.

We are contemplating a quarterly $500 Added 9-Ball tournament. Hopefully, details will soon follow.

Thanks again to all who participated and congratulations to those who finsihed highly.
