Note for anyone who wants to meet up and play a little:

I will be traveling to many cities throughout the northeast region of the US. I will be in the Springfield MA/Hartford CT area the week of July 15th. If any of you live close around there, please pm me with a good place to play. I plan on sliding over to Boston also.

Here are more places I'll be over the next few weeks, in case anyone would like to meet me in person and play a few matches. Just pm me.

Rocky Mount NC
Washington DC
Frederick MD
Baltimore MD
Kingston NY
Buffalo NY

Let me know some good places to play!

The BEST place in Buffalo is Bison Billiards................................

Amazin' Billiards - Malden, MA.

The owner is a former 3C champion - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mazin_Shooni

I didn't get a chance to go there last time I was in Boston but that mistake won't happen again.

Rack 'em up in Fall River, MA. Old school vibe. Has both 7' and 9' tables. Pretty good place. Wasn't too impressed with the bartenders but overall it was a good experience.

Picture of Rack 'em Up. It's on the second floor of this building.

Yale Billiards, about 30 minutes north of New Haven CT. Home of Sharkstream.

If you pass through Albany, NY, Golden Cue is a great place to stop! Old school type of pool hall just a few miles away from downtown.

say what you like to play and what you want to play for after making a game.

otherwise you are just likely to get fun bangers to meet up to play. fine if that is what you want.

I sent BC21 a PM but would like to extend an invitation to all AZB'ers that are in my area to stop in to say Hello. Mention you are on AZB and your first drink is on me! Bradley International Airport is across the street and there are nearly a dozen hotels: all walking distance.
We have 10-9' Gold Crown 1's and 2's with ball returns covered in Simonis 860. There is a restored Russian Circassian Walnut 9' KLING with ball return set up with 4 3/4" pockets for straight pool. Plenty of memorabilia to enjoy, also for those of you that enjoy cues, plenty to look at and perhaps I can arrange you play with a cue you've only dreamed about using, OR perhaps you've always wondered what it's like to play a game with a set of clay balls. All this is possible.... And much much more... And for you players, you can beat up on me.. We can rack'em up and play a few games.... Life is short, so for those of you that enjoy pocket billiards, its' history, and the "Magic" that has accompanied it for so many years... All are welcome to enjoy....We have limited hours, but if you can give some advance notice, perhaps we could get together outside of our advertised business hours. Pool is a great game and so are most of the people in this industry....
Look forward to meeting you soon.

Nobody comes thru the Lou anymore.😩
Thinking about chasing off the kids w help me signs at the local Walmart and standing on their corner w a cup in my hand!!🤣🤣

create some action Mensa. then people will start coming to play and watch. soon the watchers will get antsy and make games.

the the famous rooms are rooms where you can make a game and get action. if its just fun players banging around then no one is coming to watch that or take part. that creates a stagnant room that eventually goes out of business unless it gets great food and entertainment and draws from another class of customers.

When I had to quit playing, heavyweights were common here. Always came thru bcuz we had good action. Thousands flying around over a game on a pinball machine, of all things - regular occurrence. Lol.
Dice and cards in the foyer.
Line of chairs along the wall by the pit table always full of backers and shot makers on the prowl. Cut my teeth in that blessed temple of the shooting arts.
For an old road dawg like me, it now seems more like a tomb.
Since I've started playing again, things sure have changed. The owner of the hall I occasionally haunt has asked me not to set up my matches there!!
I respect his wishes.
His father would call me when a real player would come in.
No more.
I must rely on the out of town guys showing up outta the blue. Or the occasional local, but they know my game, so that's out.
And at my age, the road is something 'less travelled' by. Lol.😁
It's all clinics and seminars, youtube and leagues, CF and bar boxes now.
Old fart like me can get lost.😮‍💨😂😂

I'll definitely hit that place and pay you a visit! I'll be flying into Bradley and staying close.

Copied that. Thanks. I'm up for any game, but not really looking for big action because I can't do any all-nighters or super long matches due to work. I'll be in town for business, but I'll have a cue.

I'd be open for friendly 9ball, 10ball, or 8ball sets for $50 to $100, or 1-hole action in that same ball park.

Anybody interested can pm me. I'll even just hit 'em around for a while over a drink or two for any non-gamblers, as long as it's competitive.

Thanks for the open door policy. Wish I lived closer. East Coast and those states seem to have a better class of player and halls to match.
Good luck to y'all!!
