Rules
- We are playing standard 9-ball BCA rules, with winners breaking and losers racking.
- The initial break will be decided by lag or coin-flip.
- Break can be preformed anywhere behind the head string.
- For a legal break, 3 Balls (excluding the cue ball) must make contact with a rail.
- If the 9-ball goes in on break without a foul, it is a win.
- Players are only allowed breaks in between match play. (Please do not stall your opponent or slow down the tournament’s progression, we all want to leave before the rooster’s crow.)
- Any unsportsmen-like conduct will be warned on the 1st infringement, foul on the 2nd, and loss of match on the 3rd infarction.
Payouts - (The most important part!!!)
Jerry has agreed that for a limited time, he himself will donate to the pot. He will automatically double the pot size (after green’s fee). Yes that’s right… but it is only for a limited time, so come out now before he decides to change his mind.
Cash payouts are as follows:
< 24 Players – 1st = 50%; 2nd = 30%; 3rd = 20%
24- 32 Players – 1st = 50%; 2nd = 25%; 3rd = 15%; 4th = 10%
Calcutta
This is a single Calcutta event, any player may be bid on by any person (not necessary to participate in the tournament) or left un-bid will fall into the field category.
- 1st Auction in Calcutta will be for pick of any player on the field.
- Afterwards, all players’ names will be called (excluding the person already picked) and auctioned off one-by-one, with a starting bid of $10 and incremental bids of $10.
- Players not auctioned off are automatically slotted into the field category.
- Last Auction preformed will be for the field. (The remaining players that did not sell during auction)
Final Note from the Tournament Director:
As you all know I frequent a lot of different tournaments here and there, my wish is to have this tournament run smoothly and have a good mixture of different players all meeting at a central location to play. East Side Billiards has 15 Gold Crown III and 1 bar box table, plus a full bar with cheap drink specials… so all in all its a good place to host a weekly tournament. I have also included all the green’s fee prices and cash payout so there is no confusion. Lastly, to be truly impartial in the whole tournament experience I restrict myself from participating in the tournament or Calcutta, unless I’m not running it for that week.
