I will be in NYC for a week or so early May and I wondered if there any small weekly tournaments in the local pool halls. If so any info on location/nights etc would be appreciated. Also anyone played on the 10k tour, notice there is an event in Niagra Falls the weekend I arrive. Is it open to anyone etc..?

Any help much appreciated

Well, for starters, there's the Wednesday night weekly nine ball event at Master Billiards in Queens.

If your gonna be in NYC, then Niagara Falls is gonna be out of the question, hehe. Thats of course unless you plan to drive or fly up that way.

Damn I thought the falls where in the hudson! lol :D

Craig, the 10k tour is open to all players EXCEPT the tour finale which requires you to have earned ranking points from previous tour events, I'm not sure if the event in Niagra is the finale or a regular tour stop? I'm positive that AZ has the schedule on their main page I'm just to lazy to go and check :D Anyways enjoy your stop in NYC.

Mon: racks. a big handicap nine ball tournament. averages around 40 - 50 players. but its warm out so i dont know.. fast gc 4's

Wed: open at masters. a lot of good nyc players there. Frankie plays sometimes.. joey k. al lapena. fast eddie. spanish pete. a lot of action too. gc 4 and 3's a nice tight pocket up front. one of the best tourneys to try and get better in.

go to broadway billiards and get some soft action. 20 -100 dollar action. somebody will come up to you. place sucks tho. tables are cool. gc 3's a nice tight pocket up front.

or come play me on 8th ave and 40 - 41 st in brooklyn ny ;)

Any players in the room other than yourself? I'm thinking of making a few visits this evening and wondering which places should be on my list.
