Hi there,

I'm from Singapore and currently on a training stint in Toronto,Canada. Any fellow AZers wanna meet up for a few freindly games? Am only a grade C players. Will be here till the first week of december.

Any one know any nice pool halls to visit while i am here? Not really looking for any "action" but maybe somewhere where i can meet famous players or just some fellow AZers.

(i left my cue in singapore, so wun be playing with my own cue... kekekek)

well monday nights go to shooters $25 entry handicap i think, you'll see top payers compete there, you might also want to follow on th 30K Tour.

Hi, Wiz... I don't know if you'd be interested but there's an ASP/RSB tournament taking place at the Coronation (Avenue Rd & Eglinton) on Sunday, Nov 5th at 1:00pm. ?

Try http://www.leskratchoshawa.com/ there are often pro tournaments there and Canadian pro players.
 
Went down to a place called dooley's. Its in waterloo along university ave? hmmm.. quite a nice place with abt 30 tables and a nice bar to chill as well. We dont have pool halls with bars in singapore though...

BTW... is the place you mentioned far away from Kitchener, Waterloo?
Any idea if any pros will be there? at least i can get a nice picture or at least an autograph! kekkeke...

I wish we didn't have them either or that at least the bar was a separate entity. In this country though (USA) pool halls without bars have a tough go of it.
 
I might be thinking of headin down to NYC though... Might wanna vist Amsterdam Billiard CLub.... Anyone one have any idea if Mika Immonen will be therE? Heard he played there regularly a couple of years ago....

You really want to check and see when you will be heading down to Amsterdam...I think it's currently closed for renovation and will reopen later. Run a search on this forum, there was a thread about it sometime ago. I've played with SJM there once, correction, I got my butt KICKED by SJM there once, and he told me that a lot of pros frequent the place.

If you ever head south to chicago let me know!

Are you asking me...? The Coronation is downtown Toronto and LeSkratch is is Oshawa - east of Scarborough (take you an hour and a half from Kitchener). I don't imagine you'd see any pros at Coronation but at Le Skratch there always seems to be one or two Canadian pros anyway.
 
coronation is actually uptown...Avenue Rd and Englinton...I believe they have tournaments every Wednesday so you may or may not see pros....but def if you go to shooters (Victoria Park and Lawrence) on monday you should see some.
 
Coronation is on the north side of Eglinton, just west of Avenue Road, Second Floor, used to be a bowling alley - you can tell by looking at the floor.
 
Places to play in GTA

Hi Wiz,

Check out www.shooterville.com. They have all the tournaments schedule in GTA. All weekly tournament are also listed. Silver Tips have been getting a lot player there lately and Monday night at shooter is always good.
