I am thinking about switching to an OB-1 cue. Just curious how many of you guys that have a non-standard shaft have switched to ob-1? Was it worth it? BTW, I have a non-standard annie O' e-shaft or whatever she calls it.

I just picked one up this weekend. I haven't played enough with it to give an informed opinion, but I will say the shaft doesn't quite align 100% with my Pechauer cue. The joint is just slightly different... same threads, but without the inner metal locking part (I need better pool jargon).
I've been able to put slightly more draw than normal and also spin. Whether that's the tip, joint or shaft completely, I can't say for sure. So far my game hasn't suffered too much from the switch, but I have missed a few shots I thought I'd normally make and I've made a few shots I normally wouldn't make.
You ought to use the ol' search feature to see how many threads/posts come up about it. Granted, there are a lot of great shafts out there, and for a while Predator has dominated. Then with the Meucci black dot, the X shaft, the OB-1 etc, you've got quite the variety to choose from as far as aftermarket shafts go. Personally, I've shot with quite a few shafts and own 3x as many shafts as I do butts, but I love my OB-1 shafts. You can't go wrong with one.
I have three OB 1 shafts now, the newest one I got from Koinnkid on AZ for my old Schon hits just like the other two wood to wood 3/8 10 joint cues. They are awesome and ain't for sale PM Koinnkid and try one you will be happy you did.
