Honestly, compaired to a Predator shaft, how do these play?

As stiff a hit as a Predator 314? As much action as a 314?

These shafts have me intrigued....

Although, I will have a 314 on every cue I own, unless I like this OB better.

I gotta test drive one sometime.....

differecnces between the ob-1 and predator shafts

I find that the hit of the ob-1 is totally different than the predator hit, the main difference is the feel... the ob-1 has a maple ferrule construction so it feels more like a traditional shaft than a predator does, but it delivers the low deflection the same as the predator... the ob-1 has a lot of action, smooth draws are something that gives you a lot of confidence and this shaft is very consistent when it comes to performance and feel that is the most important selling point. I also find that aiming is more natural with the ob-1, the maple ferrule does not distract you from the cue or object balls, it just seems natural... also the shaft is very well balanced and is not as tip light as the predators are... one more selling point is that they are available in 13mm...

I have shot with a 314 shaft for years. I find that the OB-1 shaft has the same amount of deflection as the 314, so I do not have to adjust my aiming. I prefer the hit of an OB-1 because it feels more solid.

Disclosure: I sell OB-1 shafts. You can consider my comments biased if you like, but I stand behind them 100%.

I agree

I agree with your opinion in re deflection between the OBs and 314s. Both are good products. I like the hit of the OBs

Alright.

Now I gotta find someone with an OB shaft in Michigan who can let me try one:mad:

I "Just" bought another 314 with a Med Morri on it last week to, I need another shaft or cue like I need a hole in my head.

But I am loosing sleep over trying these OB shafts.......
