I am getting ready to tap my OB-1 from Atlas. I want to put it on my new cue with a radial pin. My question is: Should a phenolic insert be used for strenght. If so how should it be done assuming I will use Atlas canvas with dia. of .562. I will be using the standard uni-loc tap. Pros, cons, or any advise would be welcome.
On a side note, I recieved my first shaft from Atlas with a small flaw. I could have easily sent it back to Atlas for exchange. I decided instead to send it straight to OB-1 to see how well they handle it. Those guys where top notch. They sent the replacement out the same day with tracking information. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase their products again. Thanks OB-1.
