This combination I have used personally and I absolutely loved the hit,
I bought a inexpensive, import butt, it was a full spliced cue with quality hardwoods and cored of maple, I installed a leather wrap and a limbsaver vibration damper and it had a stainless joint with a uniloc joint. I installed one of joey in cali, Ivor-X ferrules, with a OB carbon fiber pad and a triangle tip that I had soaked and pressed a bit.
This performed and felt as good as any 1 to 4 thousand dollar cue i have had and I have had over 50 of those cues and stroked and shot with hundreds of others.
It makes me smile that with some thought and experience, you can put a top shooting cue for under $300.00, total investment.
Good luck with your, OB1 and Triangle tip combo,
If it feels good, but not perfect, try some of the modifications that I made and maybe you'll come out with a diamond in the rough, also.
