OB break shaft

I currently use the OB-2 shafts on my playing cue ( Schon ) and was wondering if anyone had experience with the OB break shaft. Does it truly provide a sledgehammer break.....should I stick with a dedicated break cue?........

The Break Shaft really is different than traditional shafts used for breaking.

It uses our normal construction, but is much stiffer, 13mm, and a little fatter taper. It also uses the Samsara Break Tip, which is legal with the new BCA rules.

The big difference in play comes from the low cue ball squirt or deflection. Lets face it, you hit em hard when you break. When you hit em hard, you tend to miss the middle of the cue ball more often. With LD, when you miss the middle of the cue ball it doesn't squirt off line near as much, so you still hit the front of the stack.

It's all about power, accuracy and control.

Try it, I am sure you will like it.

The number 1 thing i have found is cue ball control with the OB-1 break shaft. Good solid hit on the head ball cue ball comes back about 6-8 inches and stops. Give Royce a call and he will fix you up with more info.
