Do these shafts look used to you? Bought them for new
Hi. I hope this is the right topic to post this thread. I recently bought one OB Classic shaft for a friend and OB Classic Pro shaft for me from an authorized dealer and cue repair pro of OB. Both comes with Everest tip. As far as i know, that tip has a red pad indicating the lifetime for the tip and when must be replaced. As you can see in the image, you will notice that the tip on OB classic Pro shaft is on the limit of the red pad. I ask the cue maker why both tips are different and he told me that this is happening because it is a thinner shaft thus the tip is smaller in terms of length and it comes like that from the company as they are new tips..Does this make sense? To me it looks like used and i bought it for new. Aren't all tips come in same length and the repair man cut the width just to fit the width of shaft? Any thoughts? it would be really helpfull.
